Program Overview
Get ready for an exhilarating journey! Over the course of one academic year, high school students will embark on an exciting adventure as they build a high-performance Factory Five vehicle from the ground up.
With the guidance of our passionate teaching artists and a dynamic project-based curriculum created by WCP, students will not only learn the technical skills needed to create a racing organization, but also discover what it takes to run a successful racing team as a business.
WCP students will dive into a variety of engaging activities and classes that introduce them to fields like marketing, journalism, video production and public relations, allowing them to explore professional skills in high school.
We’ll also focus on social-emotional development, incorporating workshops that cater to our students’ holistic needs. Through shared experiences, they’ll uncover the fascinating connection between car building and race production, gaining insights into the diverse professionals who contribute to the success of a racing organization.
With field trips, inspiring guest speakers, and chances to shadow industry professionals, our students will enjoy immersive experiences in real-world settings Plus, they’ll have access to exciting internship opportunities and a continuous career pathway through Alfred State College’s Motorsports Program, ensuring their journey doesn’t stop here!

WCP has collaborated with higher education institutions based on Motorsports and race teams to provide opportunities for dedicated students to shadow professionals in their field of study. Students have been in the pit on race day with championship teams!
